Festus I do think that in the talk he gave, Tony sees himself as a hero warrior in a holy death cult. He would probably rather have a machine-gun to kill non believers himself. Sylvester Stallone in baggy trousers.

How delusional is Tony Morris actually?
by Festus inanthony morris iii was representing gb in international convention in helsinki, finland.
in his final talk he mentioned that at the fight of armageddon jesus will fight together with the 144 000. he then reminds the audience that one angel destroyed 185000 assyrians.
so what are "144 000 immortal creatures together with jesus going to do".

Fat freek, you are highlighting the statement which utterly condemns the JW organisation’s predictions as completely useless and never to be trusted. Never have the JW org or Watchtower or Jehovah’s Witnesses or even CT Russell got anything right! It is a total waste of time to ever believe anything they say. Anything!
The almost criminal aspect is that the governing body of Jehovah’s Witnesses must know full well they are useless... but keep on telling their flock to listen to them, the reason being that the governing body are the only beneficiaries of this dire cult!
They have WASTED THE LIVES OF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE...............What hurt! what deprivation! What deception! They have duped them into spending their time, money and effort in the useless preaching of their interpretation of the Bible. They have happily culled the capital wealth of their members families. They are money grubbing sociopaths. They should be convicted of deception and abuse.
Religious cults need regulating and limiting with financial penalties for their misdeeds by government intervention.
Thank you Fat freek for reminding us of this.......... Are you listening GB?

Are the Jehovah's Witnesses really false prophets, perhaps being mentally manipulated by the Watchtower Corporation ? ?
by Finkelstein inthere is a lot of public scrutiny going on these days about the jw religion particularly on the inter - net.
one of the posed questions which gets debated and discussed quite often, are the jws false prophets instigated to preach a tainted commercialized gospel under the direction of the executive leaders of the watchtower corporation ?
these focused men who are responsible for creating the core doctrines of this organization.

Yes of course JWs are tried and tested, repeat offending false prophets!
If it all went pear-shaped for the JW org (and the sooner the better!) for those who have had the Watchtower 'lobotomy' performed on them, the demise of the organisation will not alter their belief system so much.
Even without a large network of meeting places and spiritual enforcers in the form of circuit overseers, the cult mentality will remain internalized and they will no doubt pay the JWTV company to console themselves that thereby they are doing good deeds in life.
It is conceivable that the end of the JW organisation will be a late night televangelist spot whose audience will be a declining number of aged desperadoes once infected with the Watchtower delusion.

The End of False Religion Is Near! HAHAHA
by tootired2care inmemories!
i remember a few years back being involved in the campaign work, and having the distinctly awkward experience of having to hand the householders this piece of sh1t tract "the end of false religion is near!"..
i recall the discomfort i had trying to get into a conversation about this nonsense.

@ Orphan crow, bearing in mind that now the preaching work is all about the role of the governing body so by extension they are unwittingly doing it to elevate the profile of the leadership, imagining that their preaching will save themselves.

Yes Outsider, you've got the hang of it!
Jesus got the time of the end wrong, it was meant to come in his day. "Imminent" therefore means at least two thousand years...
But actually it's just the banter of religious showmen, the world is not coming to an end.
For all the bad news in the media ---where the only saleable news is bad news---the world in most fields of human experience is getting a whole lot better. Less murder, less war, less famine, better health and medicine and a longer life span to enjoy it all.
Jehovah is a pathetic outmoded god concept and only benefits the Borg leadership. But I do agree that false religion will end, all who take the Bible and holy books literally............ and that includes Jehovah's Witnesses.

Glad to see you quoting poetry CC. I empathise with the sentiments. What could have been achieved...but in poetry there is pleasure in making words mirror the feelings.
Poetry gets very little airing here but I did manage a GM Hopkins quote the other day.
My friends and I meet at my house on each full moon to read and discuss poetry... and tonight is the full moon! We will be considering two American females; Sylvia Plath and Emily Dickinson. Deep joy...
Are you making any comparisons with Branwell Bronte btw?

Blood card
by Inabunker inhi new to forum and first post!
i have been reading posts on and off for years.
still fighting my "doubts" and struggling internally, my family is active and the wife knows nothing of my late night website reads here.

Inabunker welcome to the site. It's not an easy task to get out of the JW cocoon, so many restraining threads of connection have to be cut through to become free.
With the blood matter, the GB have developed a cunning plan to mark those who are gullible enough to give their lives to the organisation. If you are prepared to literally sacrifice yourself or your children in obedience to them; you are counted as being "in". Hence the demand for documentation, to put it in writing. Such extreme loyalty in a cult is a capital resource.
In the JW cult, the paramount doctrine is total rank and file obedience to the leadership because on this, their survival, their power and their prestige depends. God's spirit has nothing to do with anything! The JW org now is all about the leadership...it's nauseating isn't it?
I do hope you can reveal TTATT (the truth about the truth) to your wife in a way which does not alienate her. Wishing you all the best in your escape.

Just well done PE! JWs have a hard job recognizing which authority they come under and you have shown them which one it is.
Perhaps more importantly you have shown your daughter's mother where you stand on the important things in your daughter's life.
